I get this really neat window with dry stats. Is there some sort of GUI like the old on? I also used StarMap is there some sort of app like that for BOINC? |

There's boinctop, which is a command line tool which tells you the progress. If you start boinc with boinc -allow_remote_gui_rpc you can use something like boincview to connect to your linux boxes and administer machines, attach to projects etc.. graphically.
