Most of the time they ship from the far east (China or Hongkong). eBay warns of "extended" shipping times. I got lucky and found a US Shipper last night so I ordered one. There is a possiblity that the card is incorrectly labeled (might be a 1050 for instance). I will report back once I have it. This means I might be able to put up 3 1060's on my "under repair box" [waiting on new MB] (if one of the slower PCI's slots has a cut in the back so I can shoehorn three in). So those of us waiting to see what Nvidia's latest & greatest is capable of, will have to wait an extra week for the already delayed products to finally arrive. I don't care if the description says it's brand new in the original shrink wrap packaging, I won't buy. I very seldom ever go to their site when looking for stuff. I have seen too many stories, such as yours, that pertain to a purchase on eBay. I wouldn't buy a box of crayons from eBay. Its a matter of choosing good vendors and good merchandise. I have gotten any number of good things from eBay. I have always gotten refunds for "fake" non-shipping merchandise. I strongly suspected these cards were not Gtx 1060's. And the seller never, ever claimed they were. He made a number of statements that taken together said "these are fake 1060's" but I didn't catch that part of the information. I got very good service from the seller. I am happy for the experience. Now I am reselling them with a headline of "Fake gtx 1060 3GB" with a starting price at a 50% discount ($35). :) Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association).
