Lawless: "Not governed by or obedient to laws; characterized by a lack of civic order." Lawful "conforming to, permitted by, or recognized by law or rules". I think probably the citizens of China respect their laws a lot more than say the citizens of the UK or USA, because if they don't then they face a lot graver consequences. The shootings in the US and the current run of murders in the UK may well be described as lawless. My own town suffered lawless riots in 2011, so I have seen lawless at first hand. Also at least two posters on these very forums have admitted they have little faith in their own local law enforcement to cope with any serious problems, hence why they needed guns, that sounds a bit like lawless to me. I am still not sure there are "world wide " laws on how a country must be run. So whilst I do not agree with the way China is run or governed I would not call the state lawless in any way |

Lawless: Your definitions of lawful and lawless doesn't apply in China as they do in Western countries. The problem in China is that is not so much about civic order. It's local governments that is lawless in great parts of the country despite so said legislations and reforms from Beijing. The corruption in China is also very high. |

I am still not sure there are "world wide " laws on how a country must be run. For heavens sake. In the 1930's there were 2 countries in Europe that also were "lawful". Germany and the Soviet Union! |

Believing that the Chinese people are different from all others in their wish for economic security and freedom from oppression. Is...Total B/S. "Workrs of the world Unite" Really? Then why aren't you on the podium decrying all those companies siphoning their profits in offshore accounts? REAL "workers of the World" have more to worry about the West's 21st century capitalism than China's 19th century version. |

Lawless China is the problem for the world. Kissing their lawless butt is not the solution.America - The most "Lawful" country on the planet How can the "workers of the World unite" when the "lawful" shoot them in the back? How can "the workers of the World unite" when their murder is arranged to prevent them from testifying against corruption? |

You do agree that Unfettered/Anti-Worker Chinese Capitalism and Dictatorship could not be considered lawful to any person with an ounce of morality and ethics.Ask that Apple that question! |

BTW: You do agree that Unfettered/Anti-Worker Chinese Capitalism and Dictatorship could not be considered lawful to any person with an ounce of morality and ethics. So you think laws should be based upon morality, whose morals would you choose? |

"Workers of the World unite" in China. LOL:) All-China Federation of Trade Unions, ACFTU. According to the Chinese Constitution, "freedom of organization" prevails in the country. In reality, all organizations threatening to play an independent role are either hard-controlled or prohibited. This also applies to the union movement. The only organization allowed to work openly is the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, ACFTU. The ACFTU leadership is actually designated by the Chinese Communist Party. According to a decision by the Communist Party, the task of ACFTU is to "mobilize workers for the country's development", the implicit meaning is that the union should not contradict employers to try to improve wages and working conditions. A similar wording is found in the ACFTU own constitution, which states that the task of the organization is to constitute a "bridge between the communist party and the working mass". |

And what country is going to support a country that breaks deals left, right and center like the U.S. has been doing? About a trustful as the Russians are. |

Quite frankly Clyde I'd trust a Chinese person over you anytime, at least they can put words together in a coherent fashion. ;-) Cheers. |
