Multiple Projects in BOINC

I setup BOINC with 2 projects. S@H is set to Resource Share of 100, and Einstein at 10. This was done on a few different PCs. BOINC downloaded a ton of Einstein work units on these PCs and BOINC is working on just Einstein work units for the last 24 or so hours on those PCs. I would have assumed since the Resource Share is so much lower for Einstein, BOINC wouldn't have either downloaded so many Einstein work units, or put 90% of my PC's time into S@H. The other setting I thought would be related to this, is under Computing Preferences - switch between tasks every x minutes. My PCs are set at either 60 or 120 minutes. ~Chris ![]() |

Resource share works on a long term average and takes a long time to settle down to anything like the ratio of the values you set - sometime it can be months not hours or days. From what I've seen on my own computers the initial calls for work tend to be in alphabetic order, and some projects do tend to just dump a large number of tasks initially while others only send out a few.
