Two things First - "communication deferred" is a normal state - your computer is only allowed to contact the servers every 5 minutes or so, and in the gap this message is displayed. This has nothing to do with the availability of work for us on the servers. Second - there is an issue with the distribution of work, this has been running for more than a week and no end in sight to the problem.
