While Mars is littered with collapsed volcano remnants, none have been observed as active right now. The new images indicate some of these volcanoes are merely dormant, not dead. The timeline proposed from studying the complex Olympus Mons caldera suggests there have been lava flows from intense volcanic activity within the past 2 million years. To geologists, two million years is regarded as recent since it corresponds to the last one percent of the planet’s history. https://www.universetoday.com/10137/mars-volcanoes-were-active-recently/ https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2017/mars-volcano-earths-dinosaurs-went-extinct-about-the-same-time |

I have a strong feeling that if even microbial life is discovered on Mars then there won't be any manned missions. All that bull about interfering with another planet's evolution. Also probably the main reason for why Alien the movie (and not E.T. for the same) should be regarded as pure science fiction and entertainment, rather than something else. Define such a thing as "hypothesis", or perhaps "scientific hypotheses" and next make it possible speculation, or even pure fantasy. Again the possible spelling, or spelling problem above, but apparently got it right. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothesis We choose to make it both bacteria and viruses, because it is supposed to be life, but next you could be having possible germ warfare. Did perhaps life originate as being that of viruses, only because there happens to be volcanic vents at the depths of the oceans, or could there be another reason? If the dinosaurs became extinct some 65 million years ago, because an asteroid wiped out their existence, the lemur was not necessarily the reason for their arrival here on Earth either. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logical_consequence Becomes that of a Logical consequence, or perhaps "Entailment" for such a thing from the ambiguation page in the Wikipedia. Such a thing as randomness and Chaos should be about that of numbers only or alone, but perhaps not so for the latter. If life evolved here on Earth as a result of a "Logical Consequence", it next becomes that of Logic instead, rather than that of Probability. So, perhaps "In the hands of God" for such a thing and next I do not think this discussion should be about that or such a thing either, at least not here. I think that there should be more reasonable to think, or perhaps believe that Probability alone (and not necessarily that of Logic) could fall back on itself because of the dices. Remember the words "God is not playing with dices", or perhaps "Don't tell me the odds" and you probably have the answer. Regardless of "either / or" please do not have me for dinner. Except for that, perhaps "The Day After" right now, because I am curious about who is supposed to be pushing the button. |

You've got me scratching my head on that reply, bluestar, as I can't find any relevence to the topic of the thread.
