Had to laugh, my daughter brought me home from Colorado since the airline wouldn't let me fly.
when she got back home she nothing in the house until tomorrow and we were sleeping on some matters's
she woke up about 3 am with a big stink outside so she looked and there was a big black bear checking out the back yard. LOL

So nice up there with Pikes Peak in almost the back yard.

Today I have some news, I'm running out of pain, not pills, just pain, totally horrible. ;)

Normally cats and skunks co-exist without problems. It was the perfect storm, a very young skunk and a very stupid cat.

Riddler got between a skunk and a place the skunk wanted to hide. The skunk was too young to realize it could run around the cat. The cat was too dumb to move.

So Riddler spent the morning at the vet, having her eyes flushed and getting a bath.

This is how my oven door gets opened during the night. The raccoon comes in
and tries to climb up my stove to get onto the counter. I know he's/she's been
here because the oven door is open when I get out of bed and go into the kitchen.

I have been trying for a while to capture what I thought was a field mouse that lives in the rockery/garden bed just outside the kitchen.

I have seen it dash out, grab a seed and rush back just as quick

The other day I saw movement, got out my camera and stood quite still



Not perfect, but it allowed me to see that it is almost certainly not a mouse but a bank vole.

Not that common in gardens.

But you can see by the size of the bird seed on the ground that one seed will go a long way ;-)
