I have not been stung by any Bee, but I did get chased by a Bumble Bee for a bit when I was 8yrs old and living on a hill in Mar Vista CA. There once was a man from St. Bede's, Who got stung on the arm by a wasp. When asked if it hurt, He replied, "No, it didn't, But I am glad it wasn't a hornet!" |

with week one out of the way I took the dog to the dog park right behind me here and they had 5 dogs in this running area. I shouldn't see her with open eyes for many hours,, she was totally run out. Soon as my phone charges back up I'll send a pic. |

I have not been stung by any Bee, but I did get chased by a Bumble Bee for a bit when I was 8yrs old and living on a hill in Mar Vista CA. Now that would be fun to find! The three long lines all end in 'n' in Finnish, but I doubt if they actually rhyme. German was a good bet for a sort of rhyme (Biene, Wespe, Hornisse) but the natural word order is not our friend and St Bede doesn't change in most languages anyway. |

So what? My mother who is now 88 years old loved the Batman TV series from the 60's. In the 90's it was a lot of reruns of the series and she loved every minute of them:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jgE-lrfZ3k |

Well I can tell you that I put out a trap for Yellow Jackets a week ago and I need to clean it out it's so full. I haven't seen so many as this years, sit outside with a beer or a Coke and you have instant company. They had to be put out since I can't get stung or it's straight to the ER room. My dad raised a lot of honey bee's and would get stung all the time and never bothered him. but I would swell up like a balloon in minutes.. this was in upstate N.Y. during the WW II I seen him take a swarm of bee's, he'd climb the tree with his hand reach in with his hand and take out the queen then carry them back to the house, set up a new hive. Put the queen inside with a newspaper one layer from the top so the bee's had to climb all the way up.he's put small holes and lay the swarm just outside the hive and they would go it. and by the time they eat threw the paper to the queen they called it home. LOL During WW ll sugar was rationed so honey was all we could get that is all I remember. My one sister was about the same way when she got worked over by Hornets. I have been lucky it's been about 26 years since my last one. |

Well I can tell you that I put out a trap for Yellow Jackets a week ago and I need to clean it out it's so full. So, given the fact that the yellow jackets are around and you have an allergy to them, do you keep an epipen handy? Massive hive removed from Warren Avenue bridge I wish they'd have just left it alone. I hope the hive survives after the relocation. :-( ~Sue~ ![]() |

Did you read the whole article?? I did. I think bees know more about what they're doing than we do. I doubt they'd die. I think that was said just to keep people from complaining about disturbing the hive. In any case we can now be sure/hope the bees will be all right. ~Sue~ ![]() |

I found this yesterday at Walmart with the Autumn decorating things. (Made in China, of course. :-( ) I wish they'd had another raccoon that was posed just a little differently. This has two little holes on top so it's a salt/pepper shaker. Would be nice to have a set, but I didn't want two that looked exactly alike. ![]() ![]() ~Sue~ ![]() |
