The "Boom" star as it is called will form from the collision of two small stars that are not currently visible to the naked eye. At 1,800LY distance it is predicted that for a time it will be the second brightest object in the night sky. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2017/01/06/spectacular-collision-suns-will-create-new-star-night-sky-2022/ Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |
