There is a coming Big Moon on Monday. The Moon perigee is the nearest to Earth since 1948. I hope there will be no clouds. Tullio |

I disagree, it will look bigger but it will have the same mass and circumference. |

Unfortunately, there are too many trees from my vantage point to see the moon when it's close to the horizon, but once above them, it sure did look awfully bright. I think the atmosphere is more clear this time of year. ![]() |

I tried to watch the Leonid meteor shower for the past couple nights, and the brightness of the moon washes out the sky. I can't really tell if it looks bigger or brighter. But the ground seems more visible to me and I can see farther away, with no man-made lights around. |
