Who can name that brand? Admiral, good try. The company was called Esso at the time. But yes Esso became Exxon which merged with Mobile to become ExxonMobiel. So you win. |

Exxon replaced the Esso, Enco, and Humble brands in the United States on January 1, 1973. The Esso name was a trademark of Jersey Standard Oil, and attracted protests from other Standard Oil spinoffs because of its phonetic similarity to the acronym of the name of the parent company, Standard Oil. As a result, Jersey Standard was restricted from using Esso in the U.S., except in those states awarded to it in the 1911 Standard Oil antitrust settlement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exxon Officially the name on the tanker is: Exxon Valdez. But whatever. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Hi Lynn, almost didn't see ya over the Jack Hammer... One of the athletes in Rio is Missy Franklin, NBC said for a bit She was on the CAL swim team. Oh and She's 6'1" tall. wiki wrote: In her Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics at age 17, Franklin won a total of five medals, four of which were gold. She swept the women's backstroke events, winning gold in both the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke. Franklin's successes have earned her Swimming World's World Swimmer of the Year and the American Swimmer of the Year award in 2012 as well as the FINA Swimmer of the Year Award in 2011 and 2012. In total, she has won twenty-seven medals in international competition: sixteen gold, six silver, and five bronze, spanning the Olympics, the World Championships, the short course World Championships, and the Pan Pacific Championships. Franklin's eleven gold medals at the World Aquatics Championships is a record in women's swimming. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
