Good News, Grace is eating that, finding a 3.5lb bag wasn't easy, it's the original formula. I decided to raid the Merrick card, next month I'll just add more I guess back into the card, so the furnace can get fixed.

YAY!!!

Today I noticed another small problem, Grace went to drink some water, after eating Her dry food, She didn't like what She saw or maybe smelled, She then drank out of a dish filled with water that I'd eaten out of the night before, one that I have to wash for dinner, there was no soap in the dish, as I put that on the sponge, Her water dish will eventually need replacement I think.

I just did My estimate for next months billing, if the gas heater for the mobilehome costs very little to fix, I think I might have enough for a new water bowl, Hers seems like it fouls up easy. The heater has to cost $120 or less total or I'm out of luck for November.

I buy cheap, ceramic bowls for my pets to use for food and water. You can get
them for a couple of bucks at Walmart (or other stores - maybe the dollar
stores). No need for anything fancy.

Plastic is a bad idea because it collects and holds onto bacteria unless it is
washed regularly.

My kitties get Corelle dishes. Because they are worth it.

Other dishes are fine, but the Corelle clean up really nice when needed.

And Corelle dishes are made in the USA!

This is a GOOD thing for the cats!
Rat-Packed Chicago Has 3-Month Waitlist For Feral Cats As Demand 'Explodes'

UPTOWN — Have a rat problem in Chicago? Get in line.

Paul Nickerson, manager of Treehouse Humane Society's Cats at Work program, said after returning to work full-time after a hip replacement, he and another part-time employee are quickly whittling down a six-month backlog of requests from residents and business owners desperate for a solution to the city's ongoing rat plague.

At one point, at least one restaurateur had offered to pay Nickerson "a couple hundred dollars extra" to place him at the front of the line, fearful rats inside the eatery wouldn't be gone by the time the business opened to the public.

edit to add...
"These cats certainly would have been put down before, so knowing you had a hand in saving 260 little lives that would have been put down before because they don't have a home ... it just feels really good, it's really rewarding," Nickerson said. "There was a time in my life when I lived in the corporate world and was making three times the money I'm making now, but I was never fulfilled — it always came back to working with animals in some way."

Do you know what, it's when we do things like that that I edge towards thinking we might be an intelligent species one day. Thank you WK and Dr Who Fan :)

I don't know if people remember me coming in here a few months back and mentioning my little Posy here. I've been meaning to pop in and tell you that she's been doing really well, despite her funny walk :) She recently took to sleeping in my draining board, which was a lovely excuse to put off doing the washing up till she was pottering around elsewhere.

Sadly, I forgot to dry off the worktop surrounds Tuesday morning and she slipped jumping back up and fell :( She died whilst I was on the phone to the vets :(

We were so lucky to have had five more months with her than I thought we were going to :) More would have been nicer though.

I would have paid a hundred dollars a second for more time with Tigger when she was dying of cancer.
She still haunts me.
Along with Tigger and Squirrel.

They are all resting peacefully in my back yard and I visit and talk to them frequently.

More attentions!!!
Stray cat finds love.

Mine are like this, but not so needy...come here, gurl.

All cats need their attentions.
Even those who have been denied it for all of their lives.

This cat is so obviously feral and yet, she craves love like any other kitty, and zooms right in for it.

A most dangerous cat catch......
Do NOT try this at home.
I am a trained professional kitty tamer and can evenso get caught unawares by these wiley creatures.
You must leave them in their usual habicat or you too might be taken by surprise.

Beware of kitties..............

An untamed feral can kill at will, so beware. Your life and theirs are both in peril when approaching a wild cat.
This feline capture is NOT for the feint of heart.

Ever seen a domestic cat stalk her prey?

This is your average domesticated kitty. And yet, you cannot get the cat out of the kitty.

This is YOUR kitty, my kitty.
I once saw Tigger try with all of her might to get through a window and attack a morning dove. She was at that moment no longer a domestic animal. She was wild. She resorted to her instincts, and if I had tried to interrupt that moment, she would have tried to kill me instead of the bird. Of this I have no doubt.

Skills developed before kitty tins were invented.
If I some day passed away and the kitty bowls went dry, my cats would resort to this behavior. It is inherent in their genes to stalk their prey.

They get real down and low and take every step with care.
Yes, even domesticated cats can do this when they remember how.

I cannot fathom your love of Tosca, but I believe it is rather close to my love of cats.

You speak of him often.

I am drawn to feline dreams, but I can appreciate those who are otherwise not on my feline planet/

What it all boils down to is this/

My life and yours would be nothing, except for our companion animals.
We are theirs, and they are ours.
Life is not complete without one.

Cat,dog, whatever.

We all have and need something other than our simple lives to share.
I surely do.

I can tell you this much.
I would not be alive and talking to you today without what I have experienced with Tigger, Tigger II, Bandit, Purrball, and recently, the loss of Ty ty.
Every second of every moment I have shared with a kitty was returned tenfold.

They just do not know when to stop loving.
