I had a cat stuck in a tree once. She ran up when dogs scared her but couldn't get back down. I ended up taking my aluminum ladder and putting it up against the tree, then raising it high enough for her to get back down. What fun. I think most cats don't get stuck in trees. It's the humans who think the cat is stuck. Just my opinion. ~Sue~ ![]() |

I had a cat stuck in a tree once. She ran up when dogs scared her but I think it's not as easy for cats as you might expect. I watched one of mine come down a tree once and it appeared to require a lot of effort and concentration. Not nearly as easy as for a squirrel. Not nearly as easy as for a squirrel. Quote Most people have noticed that squirrels can climb down trees head-first. |

My kitties like to climb their 6 foot tall kitty tower. Not sure I have ever seen them try to climb down. Their usual mode of egress is to launch themselves from the tower to the waterbed. They have done this since they were little bitty kittens. They make much bigger waves these days....LOL. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

Most excellent. I have worked all of my life so my cats could have a better one. Not for myself. Cats and Seti. What else is there? Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

I'm pretty sure it was teespring where I stole that graphic. Some great ones for sure. I am going to buy a couple. My co-workers already think I am kitty nutzo because I meow at them all the time. And ya know, some of them are now starting to meow back at me. It is not unusual for them now to share a little kitty story with me from time to time. Or to ask how the kitties are doing at home. It is rather refreshing to have somebody come up and say 'my kitty is doing well today, how are your's doing? Various tales of kitty trials and tribulations I can now share with those I work with I need one of those WWKD bracelets. 'What would kitty do?' I believe that my dear Purrball kitty is not going to regain the use of her left eye. The drops that the vet gave her are not having an impact at all. The cloud in her eye has not diminished. The vet and I both knew that it could be age related, as she's almost 15yo. That would be about 80 human years, so it's not surprising. Kitty cataracts. But, she remains perky and bright, and even as I type this, she's come out meowing to greet me, tail twitching high. Purring so loudly you can hear her rumble. A very happy cat just to be with her Dad. And that is a blessing indeed, for both of us. And besides which, it is CATURDAY! Grace lately is being a problem, She won't eat any dry food, I've wet it some, She sniffed at the food, that was that, I looked at Her water, lots there, found some dust floating, got rid of as much as I could, some is not white, the water is largely static, and not flowing, around the edge is a buildup of calcium carbonate, the water here has a hardness of 11. What's left I can't do much about, since Her bottle is nearly full of water and I'd not like spilling that, My countertop is underpinned by fiberboard, fiberboard first expands, then falls apart when water hits it. Can you change her dry food? Can you give her bottled water? There is water in canned cat food. |

Have you checked her teeth/gums Vic? Just adding water to the dry food is not making it anymore attractive to her. Try mixing some of the dry food with the wet and so what she does. Pluto will always be a planet to me. ![]() Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

I didn't think it would be easy, but you tried. Good luck on the mixing, let us know how that goes. Pluto will always be a planet to me. ![]() Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

There is a cat hidden among these logs and you almost definitely won't find it, we're sorry As is customary on the internet, a photo was posted to reddit in which something was hidden in plain sight. original image that stated it all |

I agree with the people that suggested a tooth issue... If she has an abscessed tooth, (or two), then this will yield the behavior that you're seeing. The tooth, (or teeth), in question will need to be removed. After which she may return to eating dry food again. Just like our teeth, our pets should have their teeth cleaned at the vet's twice a year to promote good dental health. However; this is like a $300 to $400 expense, because the vet must sedate the animal to perform the cleaning. I know that this is an expense beyond your means at this time. But, she should be examined, (sooner rather than later), to see if she needs any teeth extracted. Good luck, and God bless, Vic. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9!
