Launch successful. I did not know there was fog in California. Tullio It looks like the landing at sea has failed, but it was expected. |

A report said that one of the landing legs failed to lock in the extended position. It's going to be a long time before anyone tries a manned vertical landing on earth. Jason 3 entered an orbit 25 km below Jason 2, which is at 1336 km. It is 2 minutes behind it and the two satellites will fly in formation.All looks good from a science point of view. Tullio |
