Any opinions on why Luke isn't in the advertising? Theories about him having turned Dark? Why he has a beard and dresses like Obi Wan (which to me points away from him being Dark)? Who is the child of whom?

Free to Air T.V has been showing all the movies in the right order for the last 6 weeks and I was thinking after last nights Return of the Jedi how can they take the story line on from this as the Emperor is dead and so is Darth Vader the universe celebrates and the Republic is safe .

But the more clips I see the more I know I'm gona like this next one and a few twists are in order so the story will continue .........

How did it go from a time of a peace to a time of the Sith rising to their defeat to Darth Plaegus to Darths Sidhious and Vader to their defeatr and peace to ... ? Lucas just capitalized on a very very old idea, the cyclical nature of time. More specifically, the belief that peace cannot last. That evil will arise again and be even harder to defeat.

Sarge is right. It is an old idea. And yes I have seen the films in order.
A lot of folks didnt like the last 3 movies. I did. For me it filled in a lot of the back story that was never explained in the first 3 movies.
Such as the clone wars.They were good guys until the Emperor took control,Then they were storm troopers. And Bobba Fet. It shows why he hated the Jedi.

I will go see the new movie. But still its just a movie. And in Sci-Fi they can do what ever they want. When the cash stops coming in the series dies.

Agreed. I really enjoyed Episodes 1, 2, and 3 (I prefer to refer to them in numerical order to avoid confusion). I think my favorites of the series so far are 3 and 6. My only real complaint about any of it was that the pod race sequence took up far too much screen time in the first Episode that would have been better off developing more of Darth Maul's character since it was so short-lived.

Usually, around every May 4th (May the 4th be with you!), I like to get up early and watch all 6 of them in order from Episode 1 to 6. Haven't done it in the past two years though. Michele gets annoyed because she really dislikes the Episodes 1 through 3.

The best thing about 1 was the Weird Al song, and the big battle scenes in 2 and 3 seem the same to me.
