How to select a Resonator(National) guitar..............
One of my favorite lines in music is from a Paul Simon song, where he sings 'shining like a National guitar..........'.

And I knew instantly what he meant.

OK.
Now you're onto one of my favorite music forms, resonator blues picking.

Two of my favorite players are Bottleneck John from Sweden and Michael Pickett from Canada.
Both of these guys have a true Delta Blues Soul and an original 1935 National Dobro, (among others in their collection .)
Bottleneck John has recorded with all sorts of interesting farm equipment; vintage tractors, pumps and steam engines.
Check out some of that on Bottleneck John's Youtube channel

Michael is more known for his harmonica playing and writing "Mother Earth" for a band he was with in the 70's, Whiskey Howl
My favorite album of his is Conversation WithThe Blues which includes the Mother Earth song and the title cut.
Michael Pickett has a concert/festival at his place in Ontario every year and donates proceeds to peace efforts.

I have such a chair. A place. My specific spot.
This is my place...
And nobody can ever take it from me.

Oh, I should give the reference..................
A most exceptional episode.
All In The Family.................
Archie Bunker realizes his chair was broken,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I haven't seen that episode, but there was a Frasier episode where Martin's beloved chair catches on fire and falls off the balcony, landing below in front of him and Daphne. Cracked me up!
The mind is a weird and mysterious place

It passed without much notice, but the greatest songwriter in the world passed away just months ago.

He ran and wrote many song you all know now.
His name was Leonard Cohen.
He knew his way around words and lyrics and music.

And he wrote my favorite song of all time.
It really does not matter who the artist is...as long as they can cover it with their heart.

I am gonna only give your one link, but once having followed that, just chase the other links and you shall see what I see.
And I lost the intended link..............so...........I shall offer you this one again.

I have kept it, I suspect many of you have not.

Her name is Lasista, I think.

And nobody ever played Rocky like that, ever.

I was most in love with her, still am, but she is not getting much critical acclaim these days.

Cannot say she is his equal, but interesting. I think she could have used a better mike.

Somewhat interesting version of the old classic by the sisters.
The lyrics totally draw you in.

If you had a life like that and than can understand the pain involved.
Give it a six and a half.

She gets something for the opening riff. And, another point for being cute, and one more for the first few lines. Then it drops off.

When the day comes...............
Yay see,
I am stayin' here at the Ritz tonight.
Got through those dreams you prayed me through.
Love you more than anything in the world...........................
Love, your baby girl.

This song always makes me cry.

'Knows what your knees are for."

And give her parents back.
Now if I could................................................
And I do, just by being happy here.
Life, well, it has taught me what my knees are for.

Meow,
Mark and the kitties.

Wish I could be this gurlz mike or man forever.
Could settle with just her musical producer//.
Never will happen, I now about such things from one past experience.
We all have our own 'baby girls'.
That is true.
