There are some among us that have been gifted with the arts.
I was twisted, I appreciate the arts, but was not gifted enough to share then.

This has been my trial for all my life, since I met JJ.
She had the gift, I did not.
Musical history would have been changed in that moment, had I had the gift.
Instead, I was cursed to live along and stare at her playing.

Our simple streetcorner meeting came to nothing for her.
For me, it changed my life forever. One passing glance.

Destiny just F's with you forever.
When I meet her up above, and I shall.................
And I shall; touch her.......................there.

Just always remember, she wrote this song in 1956, just after our breakup.
I know she wrote it for me...............................

Damn you. Suzi was a simple kiss.'
We were never intimate..........
She made it quite clear that she was married and unavailable.
I wanted more from her, could not have it, understood, and left alone.
When we had to deal with

I have had a life unique.
Joan and I were intimate for a few hours,.
The other was quite married at the time, and it was just a kiss.

We never laid together, as I did with Joan.

Life without JJ has been a trial.
Once you love a woman like I did her, everything pales in context.

My love of Lori is profound, but even she knows of my heartbreak with JJ.
I was with JJ, Kim, and Currie long before I met Lori.
I still slept with them all. Swapped spit and songs before most of you were born.

And JJ wrote that song staring into my big brown eyes.
She really was in love with me, but I had t

Saw the Wooten brothers together early last summer. Had a great front center/left seat.
Victor on bass and Roy Futurman Wooten on "precussion".
They were playing together for the first time in 28 years with Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, in original formation with Howard Levy on harmonica.
What a treat!!! I had forgotten how innovative each of these guys were.
I bought the Flying Hippopotomas hat.

Since we seem to be talking about favorite lovely singers, I thought I'd mention one of mine. There was an article about her in a recent New Yorker magazine:

Message 1834375 - Posted: 5 Dec 2016, 22:10:27 UTC - in response to Message 1834368.

I first heard of Tal Wilkenfield through a music friend, Pam, in Sydney, Tal had just completed school in LA.
Her parents had sold everything and moved to LA just so she could go to the Los Angeles College of Music.
She was classicly trained but loved jazz and started her career with Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea.

I was told about her the first night she went onstage with Jeff Beck at the Basement in her hometown, Sydney. My friend Pam saw her there.
After that night Beck asked her if she could finish the tour with him. The reat is history still being written.
