"Stiffelio" Opera by Giuseppe Verdi, rarely performed, at La Fenice Opera House in Venice, rebuilt after a fire. On RADIO 3 of Italian RAI.

Poor Puccini. I prefer Andrea Bocelli, now that Big Luciano is no more. Yesterday I listened to Arianna Savalls and her HirundoMaris complex singing Catalan and Norwegian songs on Rete2 of TV Svizzera Italiana. Aksel Svindal and Kjetil Jansrud would have applauded.

I am listening via Rete2 of TV Svizzera Italiana to a Mozart Opera I had never heard of. It is called "Le mystere d'Isis" and is a kind of French translation of "Das Zauberflote" which the French did not like because it is spoken in German.

Poor Puccini.

Perhaps he would liked Jussi Björling better.

Or perhaps this Bulgarian singer.

The Who

I've occasionally thought that with that band name, when you mention it to someone... younger... than you, if the reply "The Who?"- you don't know if they're asking "You really like them?" or "(The) Who are they?"

Oh, the ramming crew.
You made the kitties do this.

And the kitties don't generally do metal anything.

Stressed Out, by Twenty One Pilots.

Hey look, someone mentioned Twenty One Pilots! But they stole the one I was going to mention. That's okay, there are plenty of others: Car Radio; Semisonic; House of Gold.
I bet "Du Hast" is the only song sung in German that ever became popular in the US. Okay, maybe you know of another but I don't.
Handel's Water Music is good. Pachelbel's Canon is my favorite, I used to have a recording with something like 10 or 15 versions of it called Pachelbel's Greatest Hit. Some were good, some stunk.
Soul Asylum "Runaway Train" video I saw for the first time a year ago, good song very sad video.
Herman's Hermits "Into Something Good"
Hansen "Mmmbop" sounds like the most cheerful song ever
Justin Bieber's new song is good, even though people prefer it wasn't. 8)
Butthole Surfers "Pepper"
AWOLNation "Sail"
Imagine Dragons Radioactive
Various things by Muse, Cage the Elephant, One Republic, a bunch of artists...
