James C. has a good thread about what we're watching, and I watch a lot, ;~), but I also just listen, too. For some odd reason, I have Bob Seger's Night Moves running through my head right now, and I have no idea why. Any song on your mind? The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Andrew Marr's The Making of Modern Britain. I like history stuff - It's funny how a lot of us get nostalgic and more interested in that sort of thing as we get older. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

The things you find out.... As Marr says: "Perhaps one could stay in and read some history." Like I always say: If it's people, regardless of the time, they all act the same!" |

I recognized the 1st and 3rd ones above, but 2, 4, and 5, I can't figure out. What songs are they playing? The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I recognized not all too, some I definitely know but don't know original performers names. First is Depeche Mode "Personal Jesus" (there is another DM song towards the end too), obviously and last one is Кино "Мы ждем перемен". Also in non particular order Nirvana "The man who sold the world", Metallica "Unforgiven", Rammstein "Du hast", "Mein Hertz Brennt" (softler version), Status Quo "In the army" and many others. In the last part screen visible with partial listing of original performers. We could start small game based on this concert - post link with timing and name of the song you think it is :) EDIT: first I mean opening song in concert, not in my favorites list EDIT2: There is amazing Android app named Shazam. One could try it for song recognition also. I personally didn't try this so far but original performance it recognized 100% right, even concert variants and quite uncommon groups. |

For some odd reason I have Duran Duran's song, New Religion, stuck in my head right now. I haven't heard that song in years! I have no idea why it's playing in my mind now. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Earlier this week I had Sinatra's "That's Life" and "The Cisco Kid" by "?" (War?) stuck in my head. Now that it's Halloween tonight, I have Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries", Mussourski's "Night on Bald Mountain", and Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D-minor" trading off. Skyfall! edit: I'll have to pause it so that I can get out to BBQ some goodies for LSM and myself... |
