I think you can buy it here, too, now. Not absolutely sure, but I think I've
seen it.

Edit: I just googled and found that it is available here in the USA.

Yes, that milk I bought can supposedly be left unrefrigerated for three months, and that just amazes me, but I guess I've lived a sheltered life. ;~)

If I needed to buy milk, I'd be buying it in a box, but then I'd be buying powdered milk, I just need to add water.

That's actually a very smart way to do it. I think most of us have had instant chocolate milk, but I've never tried instant regular milk.

As one who uses very little milk I tend to keep a jar of dried milk for the odd times I need some. It can take a bit of trial and error to find one that suits your taste as there is quite a range of milky flavours out there.

I haven't tried the boxed, liquid milk, but I can tell you that dried milk
(just add water) tastes awful, imho. But I suppose one could grow used to it.

Instant chocolate milk is supposed to be added to milk, not to water. I have
seen instant hot chocolate that is added to water. That's okay but not great.

This is what I have http://shop.honeyville.com/chocolate-milk-substitute.html, I bought one can just to try the stuff, tastes just fine, this just needs to be stirred before being poured.

I've never seen that sort of thing before. This is the something new I've
learned today.

There's an ad in The New Yorker from last week for 12 steaks from someplace called Kansas City Steaks for 12 steaks for 40 bucks and free shipping. Four are 6 ounce bacon wrapped filet mignons and eight are 4 ounce steak-burgers. Sounds like a pretty good deal, and I think I might order it.

Have to tune up that slow cooker chili recipe of mine.....
Got a new 6.5 quart Waring WSC650.
The 5 quart unit I have is just not large enough....wants to burble over the edges sometimes.

The suggested addition of garlic was nice.
I have also seen that the addition of a modest amount of balsamic vinegar can do wonders for most chili recipes.

I should be launching another batch probably Sunday for next week's gastric enjoyment.

Will keep you posted on the exact ingredients later.

Meowburp.

Whenever I hear people talking about the food in this link below,

I think of this:

I ordered one of those special introductory offers from Omaha Steaks. I can't
say I was disappointed. The food was good. But I probably will not order from
them again. I'm not sure what point I'm trying to make, if any, but I was
compelled to comment.

Let us know how you liked them if you order from them.

Well, things arrived today, solid as a rock; I was impressed they kept so nicely frozen on the two day trip. As soon as I thaw one out and cook it, I'll report back.

And you probably have some dry ice to play with.

Honestly I was too scared of it, to play with it with all the warnings.

Well, my verdict is in, and I have to agree with you. The steaks are ok(I haven't tried the burgers yet), but I wasn't doing the happy dance like David Venable on QVC.

The special seasoning included didn't wow me either. It mainly tasted like salt and pepper.
