It would be nice if a team could join another team, to create some sub team stats. |

I'm sorry, I just can't figure out what the point would be. |

> I'm sorry, I just can't figure out what the point would be. I think the idea behind team merging is to allow different teams to merge with one another at the touch of a button, so to speak. This was a wish item for classic too. The main idea was to move everyone from one team to another team without having everyone having to individually move over. Its wasn't a high priority and there are concerns about moving people who may not want to switch teams. As for sub-teams, that would only create more work and more of a load on the Berkeley team and servers unfortunately. Its better left to the teams to handle sub-teams on their owns (and a number of larger groups have done it). Additionally, have two teams as part of a larger team still falls under that same category. Its an interesting concept, and one of thought of myself before, but there are too many issues for Berkeley to deal with. Personally, I'd rather have them working on bugs and the really good wishlist ideas. =) ~David |

The current problem with sub-teams is that the the only way to create them is to create a commom account for all participating memebers to use. What a lot of us would like is to have the ability to have true sub-teams were individual accounts are maintained within the sub-team. A lot of teams have different themes they go by or common interest that is a part of the hole concept. And within those teams it's fun to have mini compatitions between sub-teams within the main teams account. Dusty |
