Nicole Curtis is a fox. And she does some very fine restoration work as well. Lori has that on the telly rather often when I am there. That She is and Her show rocks, I love it that older houses get fixed up, rather than torn down. Yeah, and I like the way she recycles things.... She can take a look at some piece of junk and figure out how to make it fresh and new again in a different setting. She is very creative. I have seen a couple of her shows where the property in question seemed like the best solution would be to bulldoze it and start over. And I have a rare Friday off. Got up early this morning and did the rack and pinion transplant in Toothless. Went pretty well.....book time was 4 hours plus, and my mechanic and myself did it in 2-1/2. And he charged me only $120.00 for his time. That is very reasonable. 2-1/2 hours of rack time, his tools, and his labor...no complaints whatsoever, I love the guy. Of course, I am not shy about handing him a twenty when I go in and just need the rack to do my own oil change or have to check something out from below. A good mechanic is a wonderful friend to have......... He and I get along very well....and two sets of hands are invaluable at times. Kinda funny, but he always thanks me for helping when the job is done. I know my way around wrenches, so I must say that I am a help rather than just a guy gawking at him during the job. And I like being hands-on with my car. Gives one a fine sense of accomplishment when the work be done. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ID: 1712955 ·
