my favorite juice - Minute Maid Orange Juice - sold in most places in Canada also. I love it, too, Byron. I always get the frozen concentrate version, and add water. It's a very satisfying beverage. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Treasure in search of the golden horse was released in 1984. The deadline to find the horse is past. Still cool film. The actress that stars in it is a very good friend. |

Hi Word Experts (English, American English, Svenska, Norske, Dansk and/och/ock/und Deutsch), My question is not about a word on the Word Link forum, but it still is a word related question. Q: What is called a person who is specialized in/has studied in university teaching children with special needs? I need a name like an engineer or a nurse (a status, educational degree, profession or a vocation). Example: Am I "a teacher of mathematics" or "a mathematics teacher"? I guess it is not a "special teacher" as it is in Finnish (one word erityisopettaja, the 'opettaja' being a teacher and the prefix 'erityis' meaning special). To my ear "a special teacher" would make the teacher have some special qualities/skills (which they do admittedly have). But -- It is the children who need something more, especially suited for their individual education. So what is their teacher called? Please not to pollute this thread as I did -- just PM (unless you feel that it needs public discussion. In that case please notify me in PM).
