For those who have been deprived of advance collegiate affiliations, the Whittier College teams are called the Poets.
I was poet and so was a certain Dick who was once president.

"Nixon graduated summa cum laude from Whittier College in 1934, with a bachelor's degree in history. While at Whittier, he was a football player, student body president and founding president of Orthogonian Society, as well as a member of the Whittier College Board of Trustees (1940-1968)."

I only graduated cum laude and avoided the Orthogonian Society. I did serve as a Trustee from 1991-1998.

Cook -----> Doctor

My long time Allergist, (retired about 5 years ago, now), was Doctor David Cook of Allergy and Asthma Medical Group - (of the East Bay). BEST Doctor I've ever had. His replacement, Doctor Matthew Lodewick is a close second to him. I saw Doctor Cook from 1982 until his retirement due to Obamacare. He chose to retire and leave practice rather than deal with all the Obamacare paperwork and regulations that would take his time away from his patients. VERY unfortunate. He was quite active in research and study for all asthma related issues. He is deeply missed. His practice extended all throughout the East Bay area, the practice still does extend through the area; but, some things in the practice have changed since his retirement.

VAQUERO: Spanish term for a man who takes care of cattle. Mexican cowboy. From the Spanish word "vacca" --meaning cow. WADDIE: Another term for cowboy, a hired man, in the western United States, who tends cattle and performs many of his duties on horseback.

I went to a comprehensive boys school.

Just down the road was a similar girls school.

Every chance the girls got they would come and stare through the fence at us playing rugby in our shorts.

State educated teenage girls can be quite scary as a pack...

Makes me feel like a program in Tron. You will receive the standard substandard training, which will result in your eventual elimination.
