Actually, David, according to the Original Tech Manual, the missing ship from my list was the U.S.S. Kongo. So, then, according to ORIGINAL canon - U.S.S. Constitution was NOT built. Enterprise C was AMBASSADOR Class. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Additional observation (and I know we're well off the topic of word link comments): it seems kind of ironic that for all the rough frontier service it saw, the first Enterprise (no bloody A, B, C, or D) was the longest lived ship to carry the name. (Or was it? We don't know anything about B beyond the incident at its launch, nor do we know how old C was when it was lost. [edit] Or how much time passed between B and C with no Enterprise. Could have been quite a bit; after all, 19 years passed between C and D. Can't say I ever heard of the Kongo. I stand corrected on the C. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Benchmark.......that which all others are measured against. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

There is a Enterprise J in the third season on Star Trek Enterprise. 400 years in Archer's future... wow, they went through F, G, H, and I in 75 years. Ships' lives keep getting shorter. There used to be an ice cream store around here called Ehrler's, and their logo had a picture of a cow and a windmill. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

From a classic of Spanish literature. Don Quixote sought to cure the ills of the world but mistakenly attacked a windmill think it was a giant. |

On the topic, I recommend the movie, Lost in La Mancha, about Terry Gilliam's ill-fated effort to make a movie about Don Quixote. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Company -----> Electric The "Electric Company" was a children's, (educational), TV show on PBS in the early 70's. I still remember the Intro to the Intro Theme Song... A lead actress would scream out, "HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!" ...And then the Intro Theme would play. TL [EDIT:] WOW!!! The things you can find on YouTube!!! :-O The Electric Company, Season 2 Intro Theme - with "HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!" TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Company -----> Electric When I was in grade school, if it was a hot afternoon and we were good, the teacher would have one of us go down to the A/V room and roll a tv down to the classroom so we could watch the Electric Company. It aired on a weak PBS station, and I remember the picture was mostly snowy. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |
