The rocket launch and capsule recovery were a success but the main rocket stage was not able to achieve a safe landing.

This vehicle was not designed to put the capsule in orbit but rather a sub orbital flight.http://www.wired.com/2015/04/jeff-bezos-blue-origin-just-launched-flagship-rocket/
