Roman Polanski, they still can't get him back to face charges. On more than one occasion, his victim has called for the charges against him to be dropped.Does that not count for anything? I also remember reading somewhere (CBA to find a link) a statement from his victim saying that the relentless media intrusion did her far more psychological damage than Polanski could ever have. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

And where do you get that other countries don't DEMAND the US send the person back for justice? They do but you don't give them back . Look at Assange , But Interpol will arrest him if he leaves , even when the accusations of rape are gone because of the U.S and yet he has not committed no crime in your country |

And where do you get that other countries don't DEMAND the US send the person back for justice? You are misinformed. The US has made no request to arrest him, and is highly unlikely to do so as he did not break any US law. The screams from him to the contrary are the ravings of paranoia and good for donations. |

And where do you get that other countries don't DEMAND the US send the person back for justice? Sweden wants the rapist/sociopath/coward Julian Assange to stand up in Swedish Court for two rapes! Why dont Julian does do it? He is afraid that Sweden will extradite him to the US where he probably will sentenced to lifetime for publishing so called secret documents... Get real. https://www.google.se/#q=julian+assange+sweden+charges Julian Assange v Swedish Prosecution Authority is the set of legal proceedings in the United Kingdom concerning the requested extradition of Julian Assange to Sweden to further a 'preliminary investigation' into accusations of his having committed sexual offences. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assange_v_Swedish_Prosecution_Authority http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-11949341 Timeline: Sexual allegations against Julian Assange in Sweden 11 August 2010 to 13 March 2015. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-11949341 Latest news is 13 March 2015 Prosecutors, who had previously insisted on interrogating Mr Assange in Sweden, offer to travel to London to question him. His lawyer welcomes the move. Swedish prosecutors say they changed their position because the time limit for potential prosecution is to expire soon. What the hell!!! |

Think of a Severely Battered Wife. Does it really matter is she, for whatever reason, decides to 'Drop Charges'? It should be taken into account. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

Think of a Severely Battered Wife. Does it really matter is she, for whatever reason, decides to 'Drop Charges'? Here a victim cannot 'drop charges'. An indictment in the common law system, is a formal accusation that a person has committed a crime. In jurisdictions that use the concept of felonies, the most serious criminal offence is a felony; jurisdictions that do not use the concept of felonies often use that of an indictable offence—an offence that requires an indictment. In the United States. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indictment#United_States In Sweden. https://translate.google.se/translate?sl=sv&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fsv.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2F%25C3%2585tal&edit-text= |

Shorely they could even show the country's ambassadore and maybe kick him out of the Embassy where they can arrest him Other wise The Statue of Limitations kicks in ......as stupid as double jeopardy .... |

And i stick by that, it should be taken into account. However: You wish to return to the recent, primitive, Excuse Domestic Violence, past?was the ridiculous hyperbole which i shan't dignify with a response. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |
