Lot of Russia military activity yesterday in the Baltics!
Estonia was also "visited" by the Russian Airforce.

Russia always say that they are not threatning any country.
BS. They do that by deploying nukes in Kaliningrad, Saint Petersburg and Murmansk!

According to Russia (Kremlin) it's all about standard army practice.

Heck. Nukes are NOT standard army practice!
Those weapons are used by terrorists!

Yep we terrorized Japan into submission back in the 40's and I see that was a bad thing now. Har!

Terorists might want to get their grubby paws on a nuclear device but don't think they have sucseeded so far coz 100% they would detonate the thing . most likely place tho is the former USSR , route through Istanbull etc

( Gt Britain developed her own A & H bomb but "sold out " to the States , Big f-ing mistake in my view !! )

My mistake.
I ment, "Those weapons will be used by terrorists!"

However this rearmament of nukes by a few nations is scary.
Russia has already warned both Denmark and Sweden that they have nukes a couple of times.
What we have done to deserve this threat is beyond everyone.

Sooner or later it will happen that terrorists will use nukes.
Most likely as a "Dirty Bomb".

Message 1822826 - Posted: 8 Oct 2016, 22:09:14 UTC - in response to Message 1822805.

Putin wants:
#1 - Return of the Old Soviet Borders (Greater Russia)
#2 - Control of Eastern Europe.
#3 - An International Empire. A first for Russia.
Question: Will Putin do something stupid and dangerous?
Answer: Why not? Everyone else in history has.

#1 True. Russia wants buffer zones as Russia (read Moscow) always have wanted.
#2 True. However some countries in Eastern Europe disagree.
#3 True. That Russia is "An International Empire" cannot be disagreed.

"Will Putin do something stupid and dangerous?"
Well, That depends on who will be elected the next US president.

Krushev or Bershiev ( sorry for me spelling there ) got deposed didn't he.

It's spelled Хрущёв :)
And pronounced https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5b/Ru-Nikita_Sergeyevich_Khrushchev.oga
Yes he got deposed only three months after visiting Sweden on a charm tour in 1964.
It's traditionally that head of states take a ride in the boat "Harpsund Ekan" with the Prime Minister.

What he, "Krusse" as he is nicked here, did was also going out with the boat in the middle of night alone.
That's not traditionally:)

Not really. Both have bad tempers, and neither one is Obama.

Putin having bad temper?
For heavens sake.
He is probably the most tempered head of state on this planet.

Janne, you misunderstood the post you quoted.
"both have bad tempers" refers to Clinton and Trump, not Putin.

To my mind all three have serious character flaws.
However-
Years devoted to KGB probably taught Putin to hide his temper if it surfaces.

Yes I did misunderstood.
Living between Russia and the US can be very confusing.
But perhaps the Second presidential debate today will clarify it more.
In Russia they don't discuss foreign policies.
Just being told!

There will be no substance. Very few American's care about anything, but 'The Economy'.

But that applies to all countries.
The size of your wallet do matter.

Then we have the ignorance of politics among most Americans in the US that are truly amusing to us outsiders:)

Norwegian fishermen dare not operate in parts of the Barents Sea - fearing Russian missiles and warships.
Missile launchings from Russian nuclear submarines, and other types of dramatic demonstrations of military power, has become part of everyday life in Norwegian territory in the north.

Sooner or later there will be a fatal accident because of Russia's behaviours towards the Nordic countries!

When NATO have drills "near" Russian borders it's a threat to Russia.
When Russia have drills near Norway and Finland borders it's not a threat.
Massive show of force along Russia’s border to Norway

And Russian missiles are not a threat either.

Why the apparent silence from the EU and Western European Countries?

There is no silence here.
All countries around the Baltic Sea wonders what Russia is up to.
Should we prepare for an invasion?
Russia are very much preparing their army with invasion forces, VDV for instance.
It's unlikely they will invade but when Russia say "Don't worry" at gunpoint, we do worry.
Especially the Baltic States with a large number of Russian ethnics.

It is a distraction for the peoples of Russia, he doesn't want to tell them that Russia has no money left.
