Thanks for the intro Ian, a little song to 'cook' by...... :))(I love Herb Alpert on the trumpet).

I would cook outside so it doesn't choke you up while cooking.

I considered that option Grant, but I thought the exhaust hood going full blast along with the swamp cooler with the kitchen door open would take care of it, it probably would have if I hadn't foolishly stuck my head over the wok as I spooned the meat into the oil. (Yes, sometimes I am a dumbass!)

I tried BBQing a ham one day....
Wow, did I ever meet neighbours
for the first time. The smell must
have gone at least two blocks. It
tasted good as well!

Don't think you have the handle on that, I have pulled some pretty dumb ones myself.

Was it Anniet that had a thread about head palms she had done?

Swamp Cooler?? I hope you are no where near me when you cook that stuff up. My limit is mild and anything warmer than that I consider uneatable.

I like it hot and spicy, but not so much that it overpowers the main ingredients.

My Nephew eats raw Jalapenos, seems a bit odd to Me, but whatever..

Well, depending on the heat of the jalapeno, I can eat those raw, and actually it's like a caffeine buzz.

Not my cuppa at all.
I do very much like a good hearty bowl of chili.
But not the kind that punishes you during or after consumption.
My dear Mom make a pretty good kettle of chili back in the day.
And it was served with extra chili powder on the side for those who desired even more 'zest'.
As well as saltine crackers....we kids used to love crunching up a mittful of them into our bowls.

Lots of spaghetti in ours. :~)

My mother always used this as a starter, too. I have her whole recipe. Need to make it soon. :~)

Well I came in 2nd, exceeded the tolerance of some judges.......oh well, to each their own (the batch was almost caustic. Now I have a year to experiment and maybe change category to 'Tex-Mex', I do that fairly well.

To borrow a phrase from the Joker, they'll be 'a hot time in the old town tonight' for someone, 'Lava exits here', just make sure there's restroom close by, for the fastest 50-100 yard dash.. ;) Sorry dg, I don't know what came over Me, maybe it's the heat here.
