Life for me has been strange indeed.
Nutshell...
Kittyman for dummies.

I was born on January 18th, 1957. The world was not ready for me, nor I for it.
I was dubbed 'little Elvis' because I wuz born with this long shock of black hair and the nurses all wanted to play with it.

February '75. I became aware. And promptly rolled my '64 Olds into a ditch. Became aware of forces of nature that are immutable.

'75 though '80...ten more Buicks bit the dust. I am still immortal.

'80 though '95...somewhere in there I bought my first computer. And the rest is history.

April 12th, 1995. Yes, I know the exact day.

A simple gurl that I had an affair with drops 2 kittens on my bed whilst I am sleeping. And my world has never been the same since.
About five years later, I would learn the real meaning of kitty love, as I nursed one that I love from kidney failure until her passing.
I don't think the vets were prepared for my screaming at Tigger's departure that day........she was my first ever trip to the Rainbow Bridge.
Let's just say they shut the doors to the clinic.

Now, I am just what I wish to be...happy, tragic, emotional wreck. Yup, that's me.///LOL.

Few people know that Les's ex Mary Ford could also play.

And I have to get maudlin at some point and recognize my true friend and mentor.
Mr. Les Paul.
He was cracking them up and laying them down just up to his passing in New York.

He was a man respected by all, and known by far too few of the younger generation at that time. Many just did not know as kids, who he was.
I had the pleasure and grace of God to have known him, and what he did for music.
This is also not one of my..shall we say, trips of fantasy.
I knew him, he lived a 100 miles south of where I do, and one day I did meet the Master. No BS on this one.

Here is a bit of reality for ya...one of his old axes just sold for $750,000.00
What do you think Slash plays on the Sweet Child of Mine solo? That is a vintage Les Paul.

Where I have also been...........
Just enjoy, with no questions, please.
I am not prepared to answer some of them...so just withhold, please.
The answers shall be apparent in good time.

And at least ONE other person in the world appreciates what Les did and gets a bit teary eyed...
Bonnie Raitt gets it right.

Just watch her facial expressions as they play some studio tracks for her...priceless.

I cannot make you love me............
If you don't.

It comes easily to those who feel it.
And is absent for those who do not.

You either love the kittyman, or as some do, hate him.

I cannot change what you feel, friends or enemies.
I am just who I am, and it changes at any point in time, beyond my control.
What I become at any point in time is up to the whim of my brain chemicals.
It is sometimes profound, and at other times I crash horribly.
I have less control over it than most of you realize, and it is sometimes a painful bit of kit to bear.\

I share with you some things here that most others would shy from. It is the times I treasure most. When somebody understands a bit I post......

No, I cannot make you love me.

But I can try.

And that was fine. For a day or two.

And then I met Lori, and it was like this.... Smitten like a kitten. Taken like bacon. Wow.....That was the defining moment in my life..................meow.

This documentary is as much about ME as it is about Neil.
I have long respected this man. You should afford me the same damned respect for the same reasons as he espouses.
I write for response, I cannot play.
I do so for the same reasons that Neil does.
Every word I pen, awaits the same response that every note Neil plays does.

I have the same expectations that he does. The same hopes and dreams.
And the same sadness when it does not come down as I hope.
Which, as more often than not, happens.

I was not one of them left behind.......I just could not keep up with the scene.

What do you think Slash plays on the Sweet Child of Mine solo? That is a vintage Les Paul.

Leslie West plays often with a Gibson Junior with one mike:)
He is also called "The fatest finger in the West":)
