From November to January, local residents can drop off yard waste and get a pickup-load of compost free.

Yes Its called a win-win:)
And a small contribution to stop global warming...

More kittyman fun.....
Just got done installing new ignition coils in Toothless.
Two nuts hold each one in place, unplug the old ones and plug the new ones in.
Right? Wrong.

What the shop manual doesn't tell you is that when you take the nuts off, the studs are not captive and they push back in. No way to hold them out and restart the nuts.

So, now there is no turning back, and you have to uninstall the entire heat sink module with the ignition module, being very careful not to damage the crank position sensor in the process, install the new coils with the assembly off of the engine, and then reinstall the whole thing as a unit.......Which is conveniently located on the back of the engine, between the engine and the firewall.......While the engineers that came up with this arrangement are laughing at your efforts.

When I was a kid, we would call this a two six-pack job.

I persevered, and the task was completed successfully.

Meowagain.

In the computer business too.
Maybe not two six-packs but a few cold ones:)

Well, Toothless seems quite pleased with his new ignition coils. Purring like a kitten. Barely have to touch the throttle to keep it rolling at 40mph. I'll know if it's just my perception or not when I check the gas mileage after this tankful. But in any case, I think that project was well worth the effort.

And I just got back from raking up all that dead grass that I dethatched yesterday....oh, my achin' back. I told Lori I felt like her lawn was about 50,000 square feet. She thought it was something less than that...LOL. But, that task too is now completed for this year.

Spruced up with a hot bath and some clean clothes. The hot bath made my back feel much better. Now back to Lori's for some dinner and DVD's. Dunno what we'll find at Family Video tonight. Last night we watched the final Hobbit movie, which I had not yet seen. Quite the ending for the series.

Meow for now.

Joan Jett emotional on induction into Rock Hall

CLEVELAND (AP) — Joan Jett couldn't keep her rough rocker edge for long.

Once she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Jett was overcome by the moment and moved to tears.

"I tried not to cry and be tough," she said, her black mascara starting to run.

Hi Mark. the wife and I a few weeks ago watched the Hobbit over a 3 day weekend. I really enjoyed the movies. But the ending was very unsatisfying to us. I wont spoil it though for those who havent seen the series yet though:)

Globalization is when a Swiss airline flies for an United Arab Emirates carrier with a Swedish SAAB prop between Germany & Denmark.
It was seen and photographed today at Berlin Tegel airport.

Oh, meow......
Done with 4 11 hour shifts this week and gotta go back in tomorrow for another 5 hours at least. Can't remember the last time I worked a straight 40 hour week.

I can't complain at all about the pay, but it does make one a bit weary.

Just another bit in the litterbox of the kittyman.

Remember Doc Severinson?
The band leader for the Tonight Show for years.
And a great showman.

His suits were at times nothing less than Liberace's were.
And he has his own website even today....Meow!

Anyway.. just a moment in my past life's time.

There's an astronaut saying: In space, "there is no problem so bad that you can't make it worse." So how do you deal with the complexity, the sheer pressure, of dealing with dangerous and scary situations? Retired colonel Chris Hadfield paints a vivid portrait of how to be prepared for the worst in space (and life) -- and it starts with walking into a spider's web.

Whall......

Short day at work today. Was supposed to work 5 hours OT.
Only booked 2.

The truck we were working on was all finished up. The drive shafts were not installed yet, so we could not drive it out of the bay. I could have worked around that by just pushing it out into the lot.

Problem was....the next truck we were supposed to start building had no driveshafts installed yet either. And it was halfway around the other side of the factory. With a skeleton crew working OT today, I had nobody there that could tow it around so we could start working on it. We had to ditch early.

CTRL ALT DELETE....abort task.

Meowsigh.

I almost hesitate to post this........
But, life is what it is.
Age is a cruel master.

Angus Young (cruel twist on his surname) looks so very old in this interview.
Malcolm, of course, has succumbed to dementia.

Long way from the age of the knicker clad rocker I remember.
And maybe that's a good thing that I remember him for what he did, not who he is now.

Because it just reminds me of how the clock is ticking on my own life.

Let There Be Rock.......and there was rock.

And this was I believe, midway through their career.
This was recorded in '91. Bon Scott passed away some 9 years earlier.

If you want to understand why some of us embraced AC/DC....
Here is the band in '78...
With Angus in his knickers, and Bon Scott at the mike. And Malcolm in full power as well.
Let There REALLY Be Rock.

This is a HQ....'STEREO' clip of what comes from probably my favorite AC/DC album of all time.
I own two copies on vinyl. One unplayed.

If your rig has the balls, crank it.

Jailbreak.

We made it out..................with a bullet in my back.

I have 4 threads open on the cafe page.
One is an old one about taxes.

As far as I know, there is no written limit on the number of threads one can have open at one time, and I would request that the mods do not take the liberty of trying to cram all of my posts into one thread.

I was on a totally different tack, reviewing old bookmarks, and that would take me in different directions that my general youtube thread might.

I see this as being tread upon without reason. You would not do this to anybody else that happened to post a musical link in more than one place.

I am being polite about this, but am rather perturbed that you would even take the action. Open to discussion, but I have the right to open and close threads the same as any other poster, within limits.

Are you trying to set those limits? If so, they have to be administered upon all.

I am going to continue in my original intent.
These are old bookmarks, and not mainstream anymore.
And as such, they have a special thread in their honor.

Frank Vignola and Ken Peplowski
I doubt any of you have searched this one out, for example.

Meow.
