I promised Lori I would not get too out of shape tonight. Extended my leave more than I should have. But, I go now to sleep with the kitties. Bad week, worked way too much, and it weighs me down...I just am not the young man I used to be. I hope that a few of you would enjoy the things I post here...I do know that I represent a dying breed and a dying age. That is a cross I am happy to bear. When I post some things...about my thoughts, or a clip I personally find joy in, I only wish that perhaps a few souls out there in Setiland find the same joy that I do as well. It's a sharing thing that I have indulged in over the years. It is not every day that my little brain chemicals get their sh// together and I can come across in an intelligent light. Have a fine night. I am going to sleep with my beloved kitties. The darkness that tries to rule my soul I can beat sometimes. Tonight is such a night. And yes, Uli. I know you did not mean anything by posting the song. I love Raul Malo too. A little different version. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Not viewable in this country......... But, a few bits from Willie's sister Bobbie. Her hallmark piece, Down Yonder. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. I plant my seeds in the howling gale...but the laws of nature still prevail. Look at them seeds and look at me, the apple did not fall far from the tree. Beautiful, simple truisms from Willie and his sister Bobbie. The Laws of Nature. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Things you may not have knows about Willie Nelson and his guitar...'Trigger'. The history of Trigger. Although just hinted at during the wrap up of this piece, I believe Willie actually said at one time...'When this guitar dies, so do I'... Or words to that effect. Meow for Trigger. Some rather exciting news...... Lori just scored some good tickets for us to go see the Eagles' 'History of the Eagles' show at the Resch Center in Green Bay on June 7th. All of the original members. Got good seats, 20-30 feet back. One of the most influential rock bands ever, and one that was a large part of our lives as both youths and adults. Meoweagles!!!! Them tickets won't be cheap! Ours were about $200.00 each. I generally am a bit reserved about spending that kind of jing on entertainment. But, Lori and I don't do these things often, and this may well be our last chance to see these guys do a live show. So, we splurged a bit to get some good seats. And BTW...the ticket site you are linking to is a 3rd party scalper site with slightly inflated prices. There are a number of them hawking tickets for this show. Lori got ours directly from Ticket Star, as linked by the official Resch Center site. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

"Ours were about $200.00 each" To see the Eagles! Many years from now (70's ?) you could see theme in Stockholm for 10 bucks. Outdoors but anyway. James Gang was a funk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 1967. The band is best known for Joe Walsh, who started his career there and later joined the Eagles:) Take care Mark:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCl-62bPpZ0 |

Thank you for the Maverick links Mark. Last live concert I went to in Reno November 1996. Maybe five to ten rows back and the ticket was free to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrCwmQP-cWM&list=RDqrCwmQP-cWM In memory of my recent loss of Latte and Ziggy. You're welcome, Uli. I have always loved Raul Malo's voice and showmanship. And his choice of material. How lucky you were to have been able to see him perform live. Hope all the new additions to the grranimal bunch are doing well. Meow! "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

They are starting to get along. I must be blind, but Homeless is an unnutered Male Cat. NO wonder he likes us chicks. Anyway he revealed his true self this evening. I was hoping to get a few things done on the house, but between trip abrod, UK here I came again, Granimal care not sure what will get done. It seems the heating element on my stove went out. Not a big deal to me, but Cookietaster. The thing is as old as he is. Heck we have a Toaster Oven and come soon, cooking on the side walk:) Pluto will always be a planet to me. Sounds like Homeless needs a little trip to the vet...LOL. And you sound like a very busy bee! Most stove heating elements are not too bad to replace yourself, depending. I've replaced a couple on my 61yo Hotpoint countertop stove. It's been a while, but I think I was able to find the element at Home Depot or Meownards. Make sure you disconnect the power first, not just turn the burner control off. Good luck with it, and have a safe and enjoyable trip. Meow. Sounds like Homeless needs a little trip to the vet...LOL. When I moved in the house came with a glass top stove. No way am I going to be replacing single elements on that thing. The good side is it's very easy to clean up after a spill as long as you don't continue to cook after the spill. I do miss gas because some of the cast iron had to go. Glass top ranges require flat bottoms and short of using a surface grinder on the cast iron, there was no solution for some of the cookware. As for finding elements, look for Appliance repair shops. For products sold by Sears, they have massive repair service and supply stores where I have been getting parts for the refrigerator. Ice makers are a pain when they break but I am keeping mine. |

I will deal with the stove after Tax Season. I have neighbors that are good at DYI. Now Homeless will be more of a challenge, see the Cat thread. Btw, peace is returning here. All Granimals are adjusting to the new situations. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Glad all the grranimals are settling in, Uli. I am assuming due to it's age, your stove has standard resistive elements and is not a fancy glass top model. If you have any trouble finding a replacement element, check back in here and we'll see if we can help. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

I once lived in an apt. with an old gas stove that you needed a match to light the oven. You had to literally stick your head in the oven. Turn that valve on a little too much, and whammo! Singed eyebrows! ;~) The mind is a weird and mysterious place |
