here is an project from Indiegogo from someone how wanna build an ecology RasPi-Farm, to compute for SETI@Home.

Sorry to pull the fuse on that one but the RasPi is far better suited to other things.

Far better for "eco-crunching" for s@h is to fund a GPU farm with heat-recovery equipment to do something useful with the heat from the GPUs.

Cue "Perpetual Power" computing? :-)


You will get far far more numbers crunched for your Watts using GPUs than you can ever hope to achieve with any number of a RasPi cluster. The RasPi cluster will also be badly power hungry for the network switches...
