I was hearing about it on my Ham Radio (I'm W1DGL) on the 15 meter band earlier today. A couple of guys were talking about it; they were from that area. |

I wonder if this latest earthquake had anything to do with the billions of velella velella (a jellyfish-like creature) being washed up on the west coast prior to the event. http://www.news.com.au/technology/science/billions-of-jellyfish-wash-up-on-beaches-from-san-diego-to-british-columbia/story-fnjwkt0b-1227034233043 Cheers. |

CNN has a front page Article on the 6.1 Quake, says the quake is the strongest in the area in the last 25 years... CNN--The strongest earthquake in 25 years struck Northern California early Sunday, injuring more than 120 people, damaging historic buildings in downtown Napa and turning fireplaces into rubble. There is more to the article to read at the link. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Dang....ya shoulda told me sooner. That is a very kind offer, but I have to confess that I'm rather protective of Eric's time when he is on vacation. When we go to Wisconsin, it is for him to spend much needed down-time with his parents, his sisters, our beautiful nieces and nephews there and Eric's childhood friends. Come on Mark, you KNOW you two would talk about work if you visited!!! |

Dang....ya shoulda told me sooner. LOL...I suppose the conversation might get around to things Seti. Hope it was a restful, restorative visit for the both of you. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Hope it was a restful, restorative visit for the both of you. Thank you. It was. (I don't wish to high-jack the thread, but if anyone wishes to see Eric's fish pictures you can "friend him" on Facebook. Eric went camping in Canada for a week with his dad, a cousin and some family friends before he went back to Wisconsin and I flew out to join him there. I believe Eric posted a picture of a big fish he caught in Canada, and also a picture of a fish he caught in Wisconsin. Eric is generally a catch-and-release fisherman, so both of those beauties went right back into the water after their "close-up's".) Anyway, we returned home late last night to find absolutely no quake damage here. Our home is on the Hayward fault line and while we probably would have felt the Napa quake had we been here, I would not have expected any damage. I hope life in the areas damaged returns rapidly to normal for all involved. |
