Thanks, for the pics, Julie. I was there, in 1962, and stayed in a comfortable,
old (aren't most?), family-owned hotel, near the old Opera House.

Memories. . . Glad you've made a few more.

Was in Paris in the late 70's and went up the Eiffel as far as L2, but it was an hours wait for the lift to the top and expensive! So took in the view and walked down again. It's currently €15 and you have to book a ticket or queue for ages.

well I have a day off, crash city today, beer O'clock all day tomorrow, 4 pints zappy.
Cheers everybody

Cooooooooooool pictures Julie - had to hold onto the desk for the one from the top though :) I fell flat on my face in a puddle NEXT to the Eiffel tower once. Haven't been since...

Enjoy your day off Grant! :)

VERY apt description of time being relative James :( enjoy your break from the grindstone!! :)

I didn't know that was where the expression "hair of the dog that bit me" came from Chris! :) I think it was always something I wondered about but never bothered to find out about... *awestruck sigh* SETI... it's SO educational! :)

Now... who haven't I chatted to yet... let's see Uli, Jim, Wiggo, Zapped, Mike and... everyone else who hasn't popped in yet since my last visit.

Cheers everyone!! :)

A week off is NEVER enough James - but it's definitely better than nothing! Letchworth sounds nice. Have fun!

Yeah, I was looking at pictures, and the waterfalls look cool. Nice area. Have fun, James!

Hi Zapped! Drinking a Guinness, and trying to figure out what Elizabeth Taylor to watch with my mom, tonight. I rented Night Watch, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and The Comedians.
