Oooh........ how very rude of me... forgot to say good morning and now it's afternoon :/

Good morning everyone :) still no sign of the sun here - I believe it's where it should be because the sky is a few shades lighter than it was a few hours ago... or my eyes have got brighter... anyway, hope everyone is heading for a brilliant weekend! :)

The morning glory!!! :) Mind you... if I'd had them growing in my garden, they most definitely would NOT have bothered opening today :/

A cautionary tale:
Soon after I moved into my current home, I came across a flower on some rough ground, that looked just like this one, except it was white! Thinking it would be a delightfully graceful reminder of Africa, I took a little clipping, and was so pleased to see how well it took root...

And that is how I came to introduce bindweed into every nook and cranny of my garden :/ ... oh... and they didn't bother opening their flowers today either, just soaked up two days of rain and put down 400 new root systems.

I fear the day of the triffids approaches :)

Sorry for rambling on :)

That's a pretty flower. My favorite is the tiger lily, and it is notorious for spreading and taking over, too. It actually has the nickname, "ditch lily", because it grows wild in ditches by the side of roads. I love it, however, and have a lot at my house, and am going to split quite a few and plant them at my mom's house.

Here's a picture in my backyard with the tiger lilies~

Not the triffids you should fear, but the tribbles........
I think is the whole episode.

BTW, my favorite flower is the Tiger Lilly. Tall and majestic.

Half past 7 am, Sunday in Louisville.

The moon did look a little larger last night, owing no doubt to the "super moon" effect I read something about.

Good morning!
