I've not seen any of them :( I'm clearly going to have to pay a visit to a DVD store and see if I can remedy that. |

I love Through the Wormhole! I like it because it goes farther and deeper into theoretical physics than any other show like it on television. Interviews with most of the leading theoretical physicists of our time and great animation to help with the seriously complex and groundbreaking theories they discuss. As far popular science programs go, Through the Wormhole does not disappoint. The new Cosmos was a bit of a let down to me at first because i was expecting the caliber of physics that Morgan Freeman's show hits on. But then i started to appreciate it for what it actually is and now i like it just as much as Through the Wormhole but for different reasons, i.e. the historical, sociological, and emotional side of physics. The humanity of the physicists. |

Wow, according to the experts there is no middle class. So I guess I'm part of the 99% that are poor. Didn't take a science lesson to find that out. Tonight's episode is the scariest yet. I won't go into detail until more people have had a chance to watch it. 6/11/14 Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

There were several themes. The first was how cyber terrorists could bring chaos to the super powers by disrupting the internet and other components of our interconnected world. The final segment dealt with the possibility that the internet itself could play a role in the decline of the human mind and that many of the younger generation have become physically dependent on being online. The internet itself may be becoming big brother and is developing it's own Consciousness. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. We may not be able to explain gravity or exactly how it works but that does not make it an illusion in my book. Everytime I fall out of my wheelchair I feel gravity working. Isaac Newton — 'What goes up must come down.' Looks better than some of the other shows. |

What I got out of the program is that they still don't have a clue as to the nature of gravity. A lot of wild theories that any one of may be basically correct but no proof of any of them. Bob you might be right. Theories now, science fact later, maybe?? Loved the black hole theory. Cern was also mentioned. Next week God, should be interesting. |

Tonights theme will deal with dark matter. The promos are asking if there is a shadow universe we can't see. I think since what we know comprises less than 25% of what's out there, that we are the shadow universe. How the Universe Works and Through the Wormhole on Wednesday night (July 16th) both dealt with dark matter and dark energy. After watching both programs it is apparent that there are a lot of sometimes conflicting views on the makeup of dark matter and how it will affect the long term fate of the universe. It reinforces my earlier comments that stated my contention that they still don't have a clue as to what the BIG picture is. The minute on thing might be solved, another mystery comes along. |
