Hi Folks, I am running a Mac Pro with 12 Cores (24 threads) and I want Seti to use all 24 at the same time. Currently 8 tasks are running, they are each distributed between 3 threads which means the system is using 33% of the resources. Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to run each task on one thread for a total of 24 tasks? I have 16 GB of RAM and have set my web preference to use 100% of my idle time memory resources with no limit on the CPUs - a setting of 0. the non-running task display the message "Waiting for shared memory" if that helps. Thanks, Shane |

Until you fix the problem of the shared memory you're not going to be running more tasks anyway. Have you been back to your old thread and tried the thing about increasing the use of shared memory? |
