I guess that'll just depend on the recipe that you work to, over here you actually get the cans of pre-made beer wort which come with their own yeast satchels. Cheers. |

Yeah from what I've seen of the homebrew supply stores that you have over there Grant, you'll just have to pick a recipe and work with it as I didn't see any prepared worts available at any of them like we have over here. Cheers. |

No Wiggo I found none but just how to make it. I was just working on that now. The two companies that I drink beer from have a beer making club with reg. IPA Double and triple also. now this is a plus because one is about $7.49 a bottle at the store for 22 OZ.. well I'm working on it anway. now I just have to see how much it will cost over all not counting the equipment. If I get my feet wet I know I'll have fun. :) Cheers everybody Life is short so don't sip Beer speaks, people mumble |

If I get my feet wet I know I'll have fun. :) You probably have some strange laws over there against pre-prepared beer worts as over here we get locally supplied 1's plus many from Europe and the U.K. I leave mine for a minimum of 2 months before I drink them, but 6 months is even better as beer matures with age. Cost wise here, for the price of a case of 1doz 750ml ready made beer will get me the ingredients to make enough beer to fill 6doz 750ml bottles. The best advice I could give you is to talk with the people over there in those homebrew supply shops and see if you can find any other homebrewers there to talk to if you can. Between them you should be able to quickly work out what type of beer you want to suit your taste. Cheers. |

If its 1 of those where they let people brew their own at (for a cost) then at least you'll get to know exactly what your up for as from what I can see you'll have to go through the whole beer making process yourself from scratch. Cheers. |

I'm sure but a little doesn't hurt. Cheers everybody Life is short so don't sip Beer speaks, people mumble |

Here's a few links in S.F. that you could look into. ;-) These 3 links seem to be for the same organisation, http://sfhomebrewersguild.com/ http://www.meetup.com/San-Francisco-Homebrewers-Guild/ http://www.facebook.com/sfhomebrewersguild These are 3 homebrew suppliers that I found there, http://www.sanfranciscobrewcraft.com/ http://www.goodbeer.com/ http://citybeerstore.com/ You should be able to get some good advice out of these I would think. Cheers. |

Thanks Wiggo, I am about to do just that :-)) Warka? Is that a Polish brew there? "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Yes it most certainly is Mark. I have had a particular taste for that for about 3 years now. It's what I would call a Continental lager beer. It is a bit strong at 5.6% so you need to treat it with some respect, but the taste just suits me fine. They do a 7% Strong version but I wouldn't want to go that heavy. I happen to love Polish music. W moim ogródeczku - Piosenka Ludowa (Polish folk song) The same for Russian folk songs. Another version of the same song...Joyous, no? It does seem that those who have the least to celebrate at times have the most joyous songs to sing. I suppose it helps to lessen the pain.
