To celebrate half the week done with I shall have a bacon sarnie with a glass of brandy.

You know it's going to be good when the food is presented on a plinth :) Cheers Mike :)

This isn't a bad bacon sarnie/butty:

Could do with another few rashers of bacon and some brown sauce for it to be classed as "good"

Never mind, I'm sure the three of us will make sure it is three in a row for the S@H team in the Big BOINC Bacon Butty Bonanza Bash later today.
As the reigning champions we are last to go, in about an hour's time. Results will be posted shortly after the finish.

(Indeed I think with the form Zapped is in I think TL04 and I will just be "make weights" so S@H has a team not a solo entry...)

Well that's three in a row - Zapped managed to clear his pile, then ours before the second placed team was even half way through.....

(TL04 & I managed two each...)

With this victory we now get the right to retain the Golden Greasy Plate in perpetuity, which is probably just as well for some of the teams...

We also managed to pick up the "Sauce Free Shirt", "Most Stylish Team" (Thanks to Angela, Es, Julie and Uli for finding those tuxedos, top hats and tail coats at such short notice) and "Fastest Solo" awards.

Phew, I think I'm coming down with a touch of the bacon sweats. Not to worry, I'll get the tux dry cleaned.

Tuxes? You mean you weren't wearing Seti@home 15th Anniversary t-shirts? After Uli worked so hard getting them made?

Tux's can be replaced... those t-shirts deserved better than having bacon grease dripped all down them :)

As all the other teams were wearing tee shirts of various degrees of decay we stood out from the crowd. The black embroidered Seti@Home logos on the backs of our black tail coats were really something else - the icing on the cake one might say.
As for bacon fat spillage - we managed a big zero on our fronts, I think the thought of the cleaning bill aided in our care ;-)

I took home the fat/grease produced in cooking the bacon in a Bacon Butty Bonanza Bash commemorative cup. Made a nice nightcap after heating it up in the micro.
