Scottish Independence Supporters Lead Poll For First Time With less than two weeks to go before the Sept. 18 vote, the poll puts the "Yes" to independence campaign on 51 percent, with the unionists on 49 percent, overturning a 22-point lead for the unionist campaign in just a month, the Sunday Times said. http://news.stv.tv/scotland-decides/291077-indyref-daily-stephen-daisley-on-independence-referendum-campaign 11 days and 4 hours to go :) This is funny https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii1tc493bZM&feature=player_embedded Even my grandchildren knows this tune:) |

Sean Connery will serve as the head of an independent Scotland's intelligence agency, it has been confirmed. A Downing Street source said the Prime Minister had been left shaken but not stirred by the news. |

"If Scots voted to leave the United Kingdom, Prime Minister David Cameron would face calls to resign ahead of a national election in May 2015 while the opposition Labor party's chances of gaining a majority could be scuppered if it lost its Scottish lawmakers." What's it got to reflect on him? It's always been made plain that this is between the Yes and No parties in Scotland, not between Scotland and England. Same reason Cameron (rightly) refused to travel to Scotland to debate independence with Salmond, it's not his to debate. P.S. They spelt Labour wrong! According to the business press all will collapse financially for the rest of Britain if Scotland votes yes. You can bet your bottom Dollar then that the reverse of this collapse is what will actually play out in the end..... ....doesn't it always. Even the EU can't make it's mind up A spokesperson for Better Together told the BBC: "Today we have special deals like our UK rebate, which is worth £135 a year to families in Scotland. Separation would put that at risk." Sirius. Is this really true? £135 a year at risk. Seriously. That's 10 Pounds a month:) |

Here in a nutshell - well maybe a few nutshells - is why Scotland should vote "Yes" A yes vote in Scotland would unleash the most dangerous thing of all - hope Now we have the attention of the ruling class. |

BoE governor fires broadside at the Jocks... "And as the momentum builds behind the Yes campaign, their currency bluff has well and truly been called," the spokesperson added. The SNP keep bleating on about this being a bluff, but Mark Carney has no political affiliations, his job is to control the bank in a disinterested and impartial manner; in other words, he does not bluff. Sorry for this question from an Ignorant 'outsider'. This referendum is just a question, "Should Scotland be an independent country?" If answered yes, the actually process will take many months, probably years. No-one really seems to know. However their aim is total independence, apart from having the Queen as head of state, and the Pound as their currency, though that seems increasingly unlikely. It seems unclear to me what exactly they're hoping will change, most governance issues that pertain to Scotland are already devolved to the Scottish parliament. They don't even know what currency they're going to use and the vote is eight days away, with planning like that i'll probably be old and grey before Scotland secedes. Shouldn't the vote then be postponed until All, or at least, Most of the questions, are answered? Not if they want it before the heat death of the universe. If not: Do the People of Scotland, if they do not like the answers: Have the ability to 'Repeal' their original vote? From much of the rhetoric recently, i suspect not. Several campaigners, particularly on the pro-union side, have made frequent reference to this being a permanent decision; including our Prime Minister earlier today.
