Astropulse runs in the background using 89-92% of my processor all the time. BOING manager uses only 0.8 or less. This makes it very difficult to do anything else on this computer. I'm using a MacMini late 2009 "macmini3,1". |

Then set BOINC back to its default setting of 'only do work when the system is idle'. When BOINC is doing work when the computer is in use, you yourself must've set BOINC to do so. In computing preferences that's set with Suspend work while computer is in use? set to Yes. Set a time for BOINC to wait for idle, with 'In use' means mouse/keyboard activity in last X minutes. In local preferences, that's: Simple View: Do work after idle for xx minutes Advanced View: Uncheck While computer is in use. Set a time for BOINC to wait for idle, with Only after computer has been idle for X minutes. |
