There is an article on "Nature Communications" about the genetic DNA mapping of the Minoan people. They seem to come from Europe, not Egypt or Libya. From what I gathered from the article, they seem to be genetically close to the people of Sardinia. There is at least one Italian scientist who thinks that Atlantis was in Sardinia and that the Hercules pillars are located in Libya and the western tip of Sicily, not the Gibraltar Strait. Sardinia has endured a tsunami in ancient times and there are remains of this on its coasts. Tullio Nature Communications |

All fiction! Maybe somebody in 500 years or more might come across a battered copy of one of Clive Cussler's books & end up believing that Troy is indeed somewhere in East Anglia! Don't forget that he also wrote that Atlantis is actually buried under the ice of Antarctica. :-) Trojan Odyssey is based upon Iman Wilkens Where Troy Once Stood, and isn't such a weird thought, considering that no one has ever found proof that Homer was a real person, and if he was a real person, that he was even called Homer. ;-) |
