British billionaire Richard Branson's commercial space venture Virgin Galactic got one step closer to carrying tourists into space. I'll join in the lottery. If I win, will give my ticket away. Going up that far in space, is scary.

Even at my age, 63, I'd go in a NY minute. But I'm sure I'd never get past the health screening. Many years ago I was on a Northwest Airlines 747 coming back from Japan. My ticket, which I paid extra for, was in executive class on the upper deck behind the cockpit. After I boarded and climbed the staircase the gate agent tried to convince me to relocate to the main deck, but not 1st class, to which I responded "The hard part is already done and if this plane ends up on fire I can get down the stairs as fast as anyone else". They relented and let me stay on the upper deck. I can just see me wheeling up to Spaceship II in wheelchair.

I'm with Bob. If the chance came, I'd be gone faster than a bullet :) Wanted to go ever since the Mercury missions.

Edit, just so that I could witness scenes like this in person......

I'd love to go after they have a few flights under their belt. Maybe wait a little to see if they kill anyone in the attempt first. :P
