Go past the North pole and you go South again


My point exactly. You are unbounded when you move in the same direction but since you are moving due to the curvature involved to existing territory at the "edge" of your 2-dimensional universe you realize that it is finite. Expand the balloon by blowing more air in and it is still finite.
