Wouldn't be better to allow GPU-accelerated application for personal Supercomputing? Recent advancement in GPU-accelerated computing technology going from Fermi architecture to Kepler architecture, which is like comparing saturn 5 rocket engine next to a warp core engine. I think it could considerably outperform the previous CUDA application for BIONIC and it would greatly benefit the SETI@Home project. It might deliver even more bang than anyone has ever thought of. http://www.nvidia.com/object/personal-supercomputing.html possibly something worth looking into. |

Wouldn't be better to allow GPU-accelerated application for personal Supercomputing? Development takes time and money. None of which are in great supply at SETI@Home at the moment. There is work in progress in gettng the ivy bridge GPUs to work in BOINC, but not necissarily in SETI. BOINC WIKI |
