Not exactly sure what you point is. However, a debunct website is still caca to the masses. May as well call it fertilizer I assume that the author is whining about the cost of funding for the discovery. It's Swiss not US taxes that paid for it. How much money is wasted every year giving to churches that bilk their congregations for 10% while the pastor drives a caddy or Benz In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Not exactly sure what you point is. However, a debunct website is still caca to the masses. May as well call it fertilizer I'm Catholic. None of them drive a caddy or Benz. 100% goes to the places/events/people they collect for. The link was 100% correct also. And this would be on topic. The above isn't. |

Sooo No evangelist buys a caddy either. Nobody said Priests were wealthy. evangelical ministers can be quite wealthy on their parishioners coin. And Who says the Pope doesnt have a Benz. Isnt he the head Catholic. Seems odd that parishes should wallow in poverty while the vatican is guilded in Gold. The posting/link is nothing. I could create a website that provided diatribes to the marginal thinker. This neither makes it science or true. I tried to read your favorite websites diatribe and couldnt make heads or tails of what exactly they were attempting to refute, rebuff, or blame. How exactly does one immediately make a find such as the Higgs Boson do something? Its called research. Perhaps it comes as a surprise that its easier to complain about something that actually examine it and attempt to define or even use it. Clearly, your author is one impatient man In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

And I quote "Serendipity means a "happy accident" or "pleasant surprise"; specifically, the accident of finding something good or useful while not specifically searching for it." 90% of all important research started here. |

And I quote I'm happy they found the Higgs boson. I've said it before so I'll say it again; I think of it as the medium we all move through. 3D TV if you like? I also think of it as the medium that the causal agent keeps track of us. Wouldn't that be a pleasant surprise? |

A Russian billionaire, Yuri Milner, has just awarded money prizes to the CERN LHC teams, Atlas and CMS, for a total of three million dollars to be divided by seven people, besides awarding 3 million dollars to Stephen Hawking for his demonstration that black holes can radiate energy. An Italian member of the LHC teams, Ms. Fabiola Gianotti, has declared that she will use the money to give scholarships to third world students to allow them to do research at CERN. Tullio. |

Scientists say they may be able to determine the eventual fate of the cosmos as they probe the properties of the Higgs boson. A concept known as vacuum instability could result, billions of years from now, in a new universe opening up in the present one and replacing it. It all depends on some precise numbers related to the Higgs that researchers are currently trying to pin down. A "Higgs-like" particle was first seen at the Large Hadron Collider last year. Link If I were to bet my own money on it, I'd bet the cyclic idea is right." From the article. ____________________________ The universe wastes nothing, it's simply transferred. |
