http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-19959531 It is interesting to think that we have found planets hundreds of light years away though it has taken till now to find one in our own `back yard` and for fans of the film Avatar (like myself) it puts us in the situation that their existance is one step closer :¬) Its just a film, i keep teling myself its just a film . . . |

Remember that an exoplanet would have to have many parameters within a narrow range to support and nourish intelligent life. Planets are plentiful but let's see how many Earth-like planets exist in the entire Galaxy. |

I remember when Babylon 5 first aired everyone derided the idea of planets around alpha centari. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

I cannot wait until we find the first planet or moon with life on it. I'm helping SETI in hopes that an intelligent race may hear us! Ooh man If only I type to one right now... |
