I guess the subject line says it all. After an email from a long time ago I put BOINC on a computer and associated it to my SETI account on the SetiAtHome project. Now, I'd like to take my PC and add it to a new group. Next I'm trying to get my friends from our club to join the group. So how do I create a group? How do I add an existing PC/account to the group? How do I invite others to the group? |

Make a team: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/team.php, bottom option of If you cannot find a team that is right for you, you can create a team. All computers under your account will automatically belong to that team, since you're the team's Founder. To invite others to your team, send them an email or talk to them through the chat option of your liking, or phone them, or shock... talk to them face to face. ;-) For them to add themselves to your congregation, they'll have to click the Join button on your team's team page. |

Okay, I made a team and I'm in it. But, it's a closed team so how do I get them in? |

Also .. BoINC sucks at adding projects so we'll probably have to create/edit an XML file with their project and group keys in it. |

Your Account->Administer team->Edit team info->Check "Accept new members?" Also .. BoINC sucks at adding projects so we'll probably have to create/edit an XML file with their project and group keys in it. ??? BOINC Manager(->View->Advanced view)->Tools->Add project or account manager->Add project->choose project from drop-down menu->the rest should be a breeze. |

No ... I followed those steps 50x after I installed BoINC last week. Every time it failed. It kept returning an error so I had to do the manual step where you put the XML in the directory. Thanks for the team info ... I was hoping I could manually add new members instead of opening it up so anyone could join the team. |

Last week the *.projects.php site where the BOINC Add project wizard gets the info from had problems. Those problems have long been fixed, so there is no need to do anything by hand any further. |

Sounds good ... I'll walk them through the BoINC project and get them set up. |
