I offer my congratulations to Elon Musk and his engineering team on the full completion of their first official mission to and from the ISS. Now I hope they concentrate on continuing the success and also man rating their capsule and boosters. However, I am sure that if Boeing or LockMart had been given the latitude granted to Space-X they could easily perform the same feat. I think they get more money from military projects than from civilian projects. Look at the money the National Reconnaissance Organization has spent building two Hubble-like telescopes never used and now given to NASA. Tullio |

No, not the money. Space-X was allowed a lot latitude on redundancy that Boeing and LockMart were not.// Basically NASA went to Space-X and told them what they wanted the craft to deliver, whereas previously they went to contractors and told them what they wanted and how it was going to be done.
